Realized I’ve been sorely missing having a whiteboard for diagramming since the move to remote and picked up some Rustoleum two part whiteboard paint.
Worked like a champ other than two objections:
Surface area claim
On the tin it’ll tell you up to 55 square foot coverage. I aimed for around 32 (let’s call it 40 with my eyeballing skills) and damn near ran out by the end. They call for two coats but I couldn’t get close to that so I just made sure it was all even by the end of application and it turned out fine.
Fumes
Good lord. They do a great deal of hand waving in terms of ventilation warnings but none of them do it justice. Took about 4-5 days to finally be clear of a cloud that reduced me to a headachey mess if I stayed in the room longer than a few hours even with the windows open. Bit the bullet and worked out of the dining room for the most part.
Overall worth the investment though. Very neat to have a floor to ceiling braindump zone.
